Skyvia Overview

Platform Description

Skyvia is a cloud-based data integration platform designed to move, transform, and synchronize data between SaaS applications, databases, files, and data warehouses using a no-code interface. The platform is fully cloud-hosted and accessible via a browser, meaning there is no infrastructure to install or maintain.

For Geear clients, this tool can be used as the ETL step in our Zero Footprint Solution.

Key Differentiators

• File masking - Skyvia has the ability to use file masking for syncing a new file extract every day.

   

• Budget Option - Skyvia's pricing structure is great for clients who are looking for a budget option. Just take a look at the considerations below to be aware of the tradeoffs.

Data Security

Data stored by Skyvia is encrypted at rest using AES 256-bit encryption. Skyvia stores per-record error logs when data integration fails to load some records, and these logs may contain some data. For certain integration kinds and certain data sources Skyvia also stores per-record logs of successfully loaded records. They are not stored forever, and from time to time old logs are deleted. You can also delete old logs manually. More information here.

Important Notes & Limitations

• File Masking Requirements
  • In order to take advantage of Skyvia's file masking capabilities, extract files will need to be uploaded to the SFTP file with the date it will be processed in Skyvia. For example, a file uploaded for processing on 3/2/2026 that includes data from 3/1/2026 will need to be named like this: Loans_03022026.csv.

• CSV format
  • Files must be CSV and meet the following requirements.
    • They must have a header row. The values in the header row are automatically available as column names when you set up a sync.
    • Values can be backslash, semi-colon, comma, or pipe delimited.
    • Text qualifiers can be single or double quotes.

• Change Data Capture not available
  
  • Skyvia does not support change data capture capabilities. If full files are uploaded to the SFTP, the full file will be processed regardless of whether the data has or has not changed since the last file.
    
    
• File Processing Time
  • Files in Skyvia can take quite a while to process depending on the file size, which means the data may not be updated in HubSpot for the entire business day. For example, a Member file with 98,000 rows could take upwards of 9 hours to process. Pulling file extracts as change files rather than full files may help alleviate this issue to some degree.
